What I think you may be misunderstanding about the Premium Content Platform is that you sell your stock for points, however, after a 15 day clearing period you can withdraw your points that people bought your stock with as cash via PayPal or an actual check. So, you can sell your images for points and still earn real USD Currency.

I have sold 5 times as many stock images with the Premium Content Platform and have earned more money than when I sold the stock via PayPal only. There is no middleman making selling easier and faster. Upload the stock packs, set a point price, deviants purchase stock and download immediately, & you withdraw money in 15 days.

If you decide to try the Premium Content Platform here is a point to USD converter:

I think you'd benefit greatly from it if you gave it a shot. It's just another way to earn cash and more artists have the opportunity to buy exclusive stock.

I admit I haven't looked much into the point system, mostly because my brief overview of it was that points couldn't be redeemed for real money. The inner workings of this site are a little bit of a mystery to me as I tend to just drift in and out due to demands on my time in my personal life. :) I will look into it a little bit closer and see if more people would prefer a points-based exclusive set rather than Paypal. Thank you for the informative comment.

Well, originally you could only use dA points for buying devGEAR, prints and memberships, but with the addition of the Premium Content Platform about a year ago we have been given the option to buy deviations, such as stock, with points and in turn the seller can convert those points paid into real money.

What's great about this is that even if you're unable to be active on dA you can still sell your exclusive stock without having to actually deliver the purchases yourself. So many times an artist will see exclusive stock they want/need only to never receive a response from the stocker because they are not as active as they were when they uploaded the stock. This way you can upload it and if someone wants to buy it, dA handles the entire transaction from collecting money to delivering goods all on your behalf. Basically you can set it and forget it and just withdraw your earnings if/when you are able to get back on dA.

Many of us stockers use the Premium Content Platform as a second method of offering exclusive stock. We keep our original PayPal method and use this method as just a second option.

Here is the original journal article about the Premium Content Platform that you might want to read:  Introducing the Premium Content Platform

DeviantART is proud to announce our Premium Content Platform
Providing the ability for content creators to become sellers and generate real earnings by making digital files of their high-quality work available for download. Sellers are able to set their own prices while retaining 80% of all revenue earned, and buyers are able to quickly get the things they want with the satisfaction of supporting the artists they love.
What is Premium Content?
The Premium Content Platform was built to represent high-quality content — the premier pieces in an artist's repertoire of work. We encourage the sale of everything from comics or stories for download, to high-res files like .PSDs, textures, tutorials, brush packs, and more!

Sorry if you addressed this elsewhere and I missed it, but what are the stock rules for this pack? Are they the same as your other rules, or is it different since you are not the model?

I'm a little leery about commercial use but I do have a model release from her, so the image does belong to me. I'd have to think about it on a case by case basis. As for the rest of the rules, they're the same.

Sorry about the long delay! By commercial use I mean do you allow prints on sites like redbubble and zazzle. Not sure if thats even considered commercial, seems everyone sees it different so thought i'd ask!
