So I went to visit :iconsenshistock: a few days ago! She's very down to earth, very cool and fun, and her house is gorgeous. We had a ton of fun.

We split the stock up so you'll see half of it here and half of it at her account, so you'll have to check out both of us!

I look like such a drag queen :XD:

My little boy decided he wanted hugs, hehe.

He'll be 18 months in like 9 days. And yes, he's huge, lol.

18 months! It doesn't seem like that long ago that you were posting pregnancy update photos of you tummy as it got larger.

It is probably about time for him to be learning his new favorite word: "No" :)

When my son was about that age, I didn't have to carry him at all for a day and a half. He had decided to answer every question with "no". So, he would say "up, up" and I would say "Do you want to be carried?" and he would answer "no". He would then walk about 10 to 15 feet before asking again and the whole process would repeat itself. He finally decided that he would answer "yes" to at least some questions. Then I had to carry him again. :)

Actually, he doesn't say anything. He makes noises and grunts, but he doesn't speak any words yet. He just started saying "hey" when he sees people and he's said "mom" a couple of times, but he's never looking at me when he says it, so I'm not sure he understands the meaning of the word.

It's something we are definitely worried about, but I guess he's just one of those kids that doesn't want to talk...

He'll be going to his 18 month appointment soon and then I'll discuss it with his doctor and see if there's anything physically wrong with him.

Does he understand stuff well? Like, "go get your <whatever toy>" or "where is your cup?"

No, he doesn't respond to any of those, and I ask him daily where his juice cup is because he likes hiding it :P He will look for mommy or daddy if asked where they are (sometimes), but that's pretty much the extent of it. I know he can hear, because he responds to sounds, and I know he's smart (he can open doors, twist open twist bottles like coke bottles or vitaminwater bottles, he stacks things by size, and he responds to like, "don't touch that")

I think he knows what we're saying and what we expect of him, he just doesn't care. He has a very, very short attention span right now, shorter than most other toddlers. I JUST got him to sit down and let me read a book to him yesterday, but not without a fight.

He does sound smart. I am curious to see what they say at his 18 month check up.

Probably what I've been reading online, "he'll do it when he wants to do it", lol.
